Two Dead, Four Injured In Separate Connecticut Shootings

Two people are dead and four injured following separate shootings that happened overnight in Connecticut.

In New Haven, one person was killed and three injured after three separate shootings.

At around  4:20 a.m. Sunday, June 6, responding officers located a 37-year-old New Haven man who was fatally shot on Springside Avenue.

Earlier overnight, two 28-year-olds suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds after being shot at Lamberton Street and Rosette Street.

A couple of hours later, an 18-year-old South suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting at Genesee Street near the intersection of Harper Avenue.

In Hamden police, two separate shootings early Sunday morning that left one person dead and another injured are under investigation.

At around 1:50 a.m. Sunday, Hamden Police responded to the report of a shooting, that occurred in the parking lot of 940 Dixwell Ave.

An investigation revealed that a 29-year-old man was shot. He was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he would be undergoing surgery. At least one motor vehicle was struck by bullets. Several gunshots were fired at the scene.

Then at approximately 3:15 a.m., while investigating the shooting, Hamden Police officers heard multiple gunshots coming from the area of Hamden Park Drive.

Upon arrival, officers found a male victim lying in the road. He had numerous gunshot wounds. Hamden Fire Rescue rendered medical assistance. The victim was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations into the shooting are continuing.
